Twenty Sixteen

As I write these words, my mind is exploding with feelings of glee and excitement. I am so happy to be back to doing something I love and cannot explain to you how hard it was to take such a long break from sharing my life through this blog. I really wanted to take some time to reevaluate it and make some changes and a plans. I really wanted to get super organized so that I could provide quality and consistent posts. So please get ready to experience the best year for Fashion According to the Menu yet.

So this look was clearly shot back when the east coast wasn’t blanked with a think layer of snow. We have truly been spoiled with such great weather for most of the winter and it is so hard now to adjust to the frigid temps we are experiencing now. Even though it sucks being super cold all of the time, I do have to appreciate the beauty the snow give to New York City. I was walking around Central Park yesterday and couldn’t help but to marvel at this gorgeous city.

A cinch waist has sort of become my thing. I just love how refined and chic one looks with a belted waist. The styling of this look was a bit of a fluke. I was originally going to wear the look with the scarf just draped over my shoulder but I did some experimenting and loved how it looked belted. Because I am newly out of foot surgery (one of the reason I decided to take a break from blogging), I chose to wear these open toes booties I got from Forever 21, because they were the most comfortable heels but they also gave a edge to over all refined look.
