If you are following me on one of my social media outlets you know where I got the idea for ‘The proposal” as title of this post. These picture were taken minutes before the love of my life asked me to marry him. I was completely surprised and in tears of joy when he asked. I had always saw myself as the type of girl who wanted (and needed) a huge proposal, with a flash mob and such but I was pleasantly surprised when my love decided to take a more relaxed approach.
After taking these picture in central park we rushed to the Starbucks in Columbus Circle where we could warm up. After a few lattés we left and while walking back to the subway, Robbie asked if we could take a picture in front of the statue that sits at the beginning of central park, saying he wanted a picture that he could post for #WCW. I agreed and we went to find a stranger to take our picture. After looking around a bit, I found a lady , who I thought would take a good picture because she had a camera, to take our picture. Robbie gave her his cell phone and help her set up a shot for what I thought would be a cute couple photo. Little did I know, he actually had the camera on video mode and whispered to the lady that he actually wanted her to take a video because he was about to propose to me.
After setting the girl up, he walked over and acted like he was getting ready to take a photo, when suddenly he reach into his coat pocket, pulls out a little pink box, drops on one knee and asks me to marry him. I was in such shock that I kind of ran away from him for a bit shouting “OMG OMG OMG”. When I finally realized what was going on, I walked back slowly, with tears in my eye and told him yes!
So now I’m in full wedding planning mode because we are planning to have our wedding this summer (we didn’t want to wait any longer because we have been in a relationship for 5 years already). I can seriously take any and every wedding tip you may have because I am so overwhelmed with all of this already. So if you have any great time feel free to leave me a comment.
Congrats again honey! Tip #1: get a planner if it’s in your budget. Mine is FAB and will travel to NY. Lol… #2: Grab you’re venue first and go from there. #3: Do what you all want to do. Don’t listen to anyone else!
