Our favorite day to show some love, Valentine’s day, is right around the corner and if it came at you as quickly as it did me, you’re probably not prepared. Well, here I am to rescue you from a day full of borem (whether alone or not ) because we still have a little more time to pull off something special. I pulled together a few last minute valentine’s day plans so that you can still have an impressive day.
- Fancy Dinner at Home
Unfortunately, we are still in the middle of a pandemic and staying home is still the safest option but it doesn’t have to be ‘ordering in’ as usual for Valentine’s Day. Tons of restaurants in NyC are offering special Valentine’s day menus where you can order multicourse meals, just like if you were in the actual restaurant. With a little imagination when it comes to tablescape and set up, you can have a very special night right in the comforts of your own home.
- Think outside the box
The candy box that is. Instead of giving your beloved a generic box of Chocolate, why not try your hand at making your own? With simple kits like this or this, you’ll be ready to give Willy Wonka a run for his money. Want to make it extra special? Why not make it a couple activity? Let your partner in on all of the chocolate making fun.
- Sexy Staycation
With tourism way down, you wouldn’t believe how easy it is to get a great room at and even better price right now. Plan staycation at one of the hotels you’ve been dying to try. Use apps like hotel tonight to find some amazing deals
- Go all out
Are you as excited as I am that restaurants in NYC are reopening this friday ? Well, if you are tired of staying in or sitting around a lamp heated outside dining table, you’ll be happy to know that we will now be able to eat indoors. This is a great victory for the hurting restaurant industry and tired outside dining patrons alike. There is a catch though, its limited capacity (I think 25%) so make those reservations like right now. Here are a few places I’d recommend, 1 and 2.
- Shop Til’ you drop
Now this idea is right up this fashionista alley. Take yourself or someone special to a day full of private shopping on Madison Ave. Appointments are available between February 8 – February 20 with over 40 different stores participating, like Alexander McQueen, Oscar de la Renta, Jimmy Choo and more. Check here for more information
I hope these Last minute Valentine’s day plans gave you a bit of inspiration for your day of love activities. I would love to hear what you have planned in the comments.
