If you are new to my blog, welcome to Feast and Fashion, formally Fashion According to the Menu. This blog is a written account of my various musings, mainly fashion and food. I chose to take a break from blogging for a few months to figure some things out and upon my return I wanted a fresh start so I gave this old blog a face lift and a name change and here you have it the new FeastandFashion.com.

Now that we’ve gotten introductions out of the way, lets switch gears to today’s outfit. Once in a while, there comes a trend that seems as though it may have been made just for you. This such trend for me this season, is the off the shoulder top/dress trend. So, weird fact about me, my clavicle is probably my favorite thing on my body. I don’t know what it is about my collarbone that I love so much but, something about these two bones that connect my shoulders to my sternum just make me feel so sensual and sexy. I blame my mild obsession with Brigitte Bardot, Audrey Hepbern and 50’s style in general for my irrational love for my clavicle.  All be it irrational, it has been fueled by the fashion world and I am not here to complain.

When I saw this top hanging on a limp Zara hanger, I just knew I had to do this baby justice and introduce it to it’s new best friend, my collar bone. I’m happy to say it was love at first sight and they lived happily ever after. All fairy tales aside, this top is pretty awesome and I know I wanted it to stand out in this look, so I added a white palette, that was clean but not boring due to some clever texture play et voila!
