As much as I hate the cooler temps, I sure love dressing for it. Furs, leathers and sweaters are some of my favorite pieces. Another thing I love about cooler temps? Warm color palettes. I wore this maroon monochromatic look this past week to an event and I love the way the rich color looks against my skin tone.
I had been scoping out this sweater for the longest time at Zara but at $80 couldn’t bring myself to take the plunge. Luckily for me, my trip to Barcelona gave me more that just beautiful memories, it gave me access to cheaper Zara prices (Zara is a Spanish brand and their clothes are cheaper in Spain). I ended up paying only $50 for and it and I was truly a happy shopper.
It wasn’t until I came home with this sweater that I realized that I have a lot of Maroon (or oxblood) colored clothing. Two of those pieces, the fur coat and vintage skirt came together with my fabulous sweater to make a chic and warm monochromatic look.
I was also able to bust of my over-the-knee boots that I scored from the Altazarra and Target collaboration collection. They are surprisingly comfortable to walk in and made a great piece to add to the look.
