Today is the unofficial end to summer, which means it’s time to start shifting into all things Fall. Fall is my favorite season for fashion and though 2020 hasn’t been a great year, here’s hoping that the fall season will be good to us.
I’m not a huge “follow the trends” kind of person and I don’t like to buy things just because they are trendy. I do, however, like reading the trends reports and picking out styles and pieces I connect with, that I can incorporate in my wardrobe or get styling ideas for pieces I already own.
While doing some browsing through the September issues, I came across 8 fall trends I want to try this season. Some of these trends are just a twist on classics and some I actually already have in my wardrobe and need to just start wearing again. Either way I figure I’d share them with you guys for a little bit of inspo.
Chains
Chains are definitely not a new trend but they are being incorporated in a lot more interesting ways this season. They’re not only for your neck anymore. You can find them on shoes, bags, shirts and even headbands (like the one I’m wear in this post).
Long gloves
This is a “trend” I’ve wanted to wear for quite some time now because of all of the many Carrie Bradshaw moments. She loved a glove and I’ve always been intrigue yet intimidated by them. This fall I’m definitely throwing caution to the wind and rocking a pair.
Cutouts
Unexpected cutouts were also on trend for Spring and Summer but I didn’t get a chance to try it out. I will definitely be looking for some pieces to rock it this fall.
Non-Basic Blazers
I am a blazer girl, through and through. I love a good blazer and have amasses quite the collections. This season’s blazers are a bit less traditional than what I’m use to. My first dive in to the unusual blazer trend is actually the one I’m wearing in this post.
Chocolate Brown
This trend is one that is fairly typical of the fall but something I haven’t gotten into really. I bought my first Chocolate Brown piece ( see here) this past week and can’t wait to incorporate more of this beautiful hue into my wardrobe.
Fringe
I, for one, am excited about the resurgence of a Fringe moment. I already have a few fringe pieces in my closet (including the shoes in today’s post), so it’s not going to take me much effort to try this trend.
Red Wine Colored
Red is one of my favorite colors to wear. It makes me feel powerful and sexy. Looking forward to wearing more deeper hued reds this fall.
Thigh high Leather Boots
There is nothing like a thigh high boot in the fall/ winter. I’ve definitely donned a thigh high or two in my day but I’m intrigued by this season take that goes a lot higher on the thigh. I have really long legs so here’s hoping I can find a good pair that comes up high enough.
Hope you guys enjoyed seeing the 8 fall trends I want to try this fall. I would love to hear your top picks in the comments.
