Global warming has really got us thinking that it is still fall. Here in NYC, we’ve have had pretty steady temperature in the High 40s, 50s and 60s which make it hard to appreciate the winter. Unfortunately, I’m here to tell you that our romance with fall is truly about to end and these mild temperatures are predicted to be gone for the rest on the season. If you’re like me and dreading the impending cold, I’ve complied a list of 5 restaurants in NYC with fireplaces so that we can still be warm and enjoy a good meal out.
The Writing Room
I’ve visited the writing room a couple of times and not only do they have an amazing fireplace and decor, they have a solid menu (I’ve had both dinner and brunch).
Black Mountain Wine House
Black Mountain has been on my list to try for a while now. The rustic decor seem cosy and warm and there a list of amazing wines and small plats seems quite solid.
The Waverly Inn and Garden
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve passed this place while showing clients in the West Village and told myself. You need to try this place out. It’s a neighborhood staple with a great fireplace and a solid American cuisine menu.
Salinas
This tapas restaurant in Chelsea features a fabulous fireplace along with a fabulous Basque cuisine menu. I hear the paella and suckling pig are two dishes that are must trys
One If by Land, Two If By Sea
This place has a solid reputation as a truly romantic restaurant. It’s a date night, engagement, Valentine’s Day and even Wedding go to. The fine American prix fixe menu is another draw and the food will also warm you heart.
