After my world-wind of blogging last month (can you believe I put up 20 posts?), I decided to take this week off from blogging. Though it was a quick one, this week was jammed pack to the brim with work, activities and life event. I celebrated two birthday (my nephew and my friend Waverly) and welcomed a new family member, my niece, Marah. There were a few cool thing happening in the world as well. Here’s this weeks 5 Friday Favorites.
Reels
I’m sure it all over your instagram feed by now, Reel, instagrams antidote to Tiktok, has landed. I haven’t had much time to play around with this new feature, but it’s going to be pretty interesting to see how this new feature fits in to our beloved instagram
John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act
It’s been about two weeks now since the world lost one of it’s great heroes, John Lewis. At his funeral, President Obama gave an amazing speech calling for congress to pass the law that John Lewis fought his whole life to get passed.
This act will make it a lot hard to conduct voter suppression, something that overwhelmingly effects minority communities. I just want to bring more awareness to this Act and show my support for it. Here’s some more info about it.
Moesha
I have been hooked to Netflix for the pass couple of days watching, the newly added, episode of Moesha. I grew up on this show and its super nostalgic watching it as an adult.
Selling Sunset Season 3
I haven’t been able to starting yet because, as I said in my previous fave, I am hooked on watching old episodes of Moesha. Once, I do get a chance, I can’t wait to see this new season. As a Real Estate agent here in NYC, I always find it interesting to see how producers and TV shows can make such drama of something I do everyday (sans most of the drama). I also love seeing the big west coast homes. We have the same price tags here in NYC, just not the square footage.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
If you’ve been riding with me for a long time, you know that Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack is one of my favorite stores. With that said, their anniversary is almost like Christmas to me every year. I really shouldn’t be giving the sale such a small plug, but I couldn’t contain my excitement. Just know what, I’ll have a few post (and maybe a Youtube Video) about what I got or want to get from the sale.
