It’s that time again and today’s 5 Friday Favorite favorites is coming to you straight from my hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I decided to take advantage of the super cheap tickets and spend the majority of the week (we got here on Tuesday) on this beautiful island. It wasn’t the perfect getaway I imagined (we got rained in most of the trip) but we certainly made the best of it. While here, I was still able to experience several things that I wanted to include in my 5 Friday Favorites. Here are the five that made the list.

The insanely talented Beyonce dropped her movie, Black is King, today and the whole world (including myself) is going nuts for it. Beyonce is my favorite artist and everything she does is just amazing. I’ve only seen some of the movie so far as I’m trying to be in the moment while here in Puerto Rico, but believe that I will finish the rest when I am home tomorrow. - B7
Another master piece was released to, B7, by the incomparable Brandy. This is Brandy’s 7th studio album and her first in 8 years. I am and have been a huge Brandy fan since I was little. Her voice and music are just too good. - Strong Black Lead on Netflix
Earlier this week Netflix announce that 7 of our favorite shows lead by black characters from the early 2000s will be coming to Netflix. I literally squealed when I head the news. I basically grew up on all of these shows and for them to now be on the large steaming platform in the world is amazing. I can not wait to binge this fall. - Greece
Not the country (though it is fabulous), the song. DJ Khalid came out with a song with the hit maker, Drake, and I have been basically playing in around the clock. Drake really knows how to make a summer time banger. - Oscar De la Renta Initial Necklace
Finally something fashion oriented. I have been stocking this necklace for quite some time and finally took the plunge to purchase it this week. It was sold out for quite sometime but has popped back up on Net-a-porter. It’s definitely very reminiscent of the Celine initial necklace circa Phoebe Philo, but that one sold out quite sometime ago and I can’t seem to find one second thing. So Oscar De la Renta it is. Not a bad trade off at all.
